2010 brings news!

Happy 2010 everybody! We at Cinevore are expecting an exciting year, as soon as our cars stop blowing up (long story)! With two projects in development, the neo-noir Controls and the ensemble comedy Wizard Rainbow Unicorn, we will be using this year to bring our first-ever feature-length project to fruition. We hope to have some exciting news in the coming months on our crew, cast, and hopefully even some star power, as well as how YOU can get involved as a producer. With luck, we'll get back to issuing our bi-monthly newsletter as well once we kcik into higher gear in the spring. Stay tuned!

POM sells out @ Coney Island FF

Piece of Meat was submitted to exactly one film festival. The music video's success was a freak accident, so where better to display such a bizarre phenomenon than at the Coney Island Film Festival? Well apparently it got in! And apparently, its screening, and the other shorts programmed with it, were SO popular, the screening was the first to sell out, and the demand was compared by festival staff to "Beatlemania."

And us, the excited filmmakers, were stuck here in Philly, hosting another equally awesome film festival, Project Twenty1. So despite our best wishes, we were unable to attend. However, we hear nothing but great things! As a consolation prize to ourselves, we added the film to a shorts screening at P21 as well, because we felt awful having to miss its theatrical World Premiere. So technically, POM has screened in 2 fests now! We just have to figure out how to attach laurels to a YouTube video.

Thanks to everybody for your support and love of this film! We promise the next one will be less weird. (*Not an actual promise.)

New Cinevore feature slated for development

Cinevore is taking on its first full-length feature film in 2009. "Wizard Rainbow Unicorn" is the story of... well, to see what it's the story of, click here!

We're extremely excited to pull together our cast and crew in pre-production, but we want to make sure this film meets our high standards for production quality, so we're first putting the essential Cinevore team members in place to help get this project, as well as "Controls" off the drawing board and into theaters.

Want to learn more, or get involved? Check out the WRU page, then contact us for more information!

POM featured on CollegeHumor.com

It's official, people like it. CollegeHumor just featured "Piece of Meat" as well!

If you don't believe us, check it out! And while you're there, sign in and check the "I like it" box.

And remember, it's a whole different viewing crowd than youtube, so they haven't heard your snarky comments yet!

POM featured on YouTube's Comedy section!

Piece Of Meat update: everybody's favorite/least favorite parody video involving cow births and the Angry Video Game Nerd has been featured on the main "Comedy" page of YouTube!

Don't believe us? Check out these screencaps!

Featured Worldwide, no less!

Even more hilarious, we've evidently been featured on something called "Spassdroge.com". I guess we're big in Germany? Or at least on German pseudo-porn boob video sites.

Should this be cause to celebrate? It's unclear. But we'll take it!

Piece of Meat mp3 online now

Well, we're at the 1 week mark for our video "Piece of Meat" being on the internet, and we've almost reached 5,000 views. And that's even WITHOUT the additional specific help of any of our star power (beyond the tags, which I'm sure doesn't hurt). The video has already exceeded the number of views for Cinevore's first film Scarfeet, which has been online for over 2 years. To celebrate, we've uploaded a free downloadable mp3 of the song for those of you who want to hear the ridiculousness over and over. Download it here!

If you haven't seen the video yet, check it out HERE. Be sure to leave comments or at least rate it!

Piece of Meat principal photography complete

Cinevore has finished filming in the hilariously perfect D'Angelo Bros. Meat Market on S. 9th St in the Italian Market for our "Piece of Meat" parody video. Special thanks to Sonny D'Angelo and the rest of the gang for lending us the space, and additional thanks to Paul dellAngelo, who played a perfectly appropriate butcher to Brittany's sexy butcheress. Now it's down to a few pick-up shots and the editing... stay tuned!

"Piece of Meat" 3/4 complete

It's been another busy couple of weeks. Our music video, "Piece of Meat" has filmed in three different locations now: Norz Hill Farm on 6/22, The University of the Arts on 6/24, and Club Ice in King of Prussia on 6/25, leaving only the Butcher Shop location on the schedule!

Stay tuned for stills and video as we complete this video in the coming weeks! In the meantime, we're thrilled to have fully shot our scene with the Angry Video Game nerd himself, James Rolfe! Special props to Brittany Brazill, our spunky/crazy protagonist with a thirst for all things animal. The footage all looks awesome, so while the wait's been long, we promise it'll all be worth it when you see the final product!

D'Angelo Bros. butcher shop rocks!

Cinevore wishes to thank D'Angelo Bros. owner Sonny D'Angelo for allowing us to film in his awesome store in the Italian Market later this month for our video "Piece of Meat."

Feel free to visit him and thank him in person at 909 S. 9th St. Philadelphia, and while you're there, buy some meat from him! (How's that for a blatant plug?) But hey, how many butchers do you know who support the film industry in Philadelphia, huh?

Music video @ Norz Hill Farm

Our music video is on track to be filmed in the final two weeks of June. Among the locations now in place, we can officially include Norz Hill Farm! Thanks to the generosity of Richard Norz, we will be filming on their farm one weekend soon. As a bonus, this farm features the famous cow from the Chick-Fil-A print ads! What better animal to promote our music video than that, huh?

Check them out! We hear they hold a wicked haunted house in October!

Also, congratulations to Brittany Brazill, who has signed on to play the lead! Producers Stephanie Yuhas and Matt Conant met with her the other day, and she is uber-excited about the project. As are we to work with her. More soon!

Tough decisions...

Thanks to all those who made it out for our casting call on Saturday at PIFVA, and the overflow call on Sunday at Cinevore HQ in Norristown. We saw so much phenomenal talent, we actually left the call trying desperately to think of parts for some of you.

Of course, only a few roles are immediately available, and we'll be making our decisions in the next couple of days for the earlier projects. Stay tuned!

In the meantime, a rough draft of the parody song for our music video has been edited, and it's coming along very nicely. Likewise, a second cut of Dirty Dishes has been edited by Psynema's Gary Hanna, and it's coming along very nicely as well! Keep your eyes peeled for more info on these projects in the coming week or two.

Music Video Shoot

Hey all, big news! We're planning a hilarious parody of a popular music video, and are currently seeking models/actresses/dancers who are willing to be a little dark and weird. Okay, a little very dark and weird. Similarly, seeking crew who want to get involved in a shoot involving dancing, blood/gore, and well, meat. We'll leave it at that for now. Email matt@cinevore.com with headshots/resumes if you're interested.

Over The River ALSO Wins Crackle's Editor's Choice!

What can I say? We must be loved.
